Editorial policy
How Finbexo content is produced, including where and how we use AI, which sources we rely on, how we handle corrections, and how to reach us.
Last updated 28 October 202601 Who publishes Finbexo
Finbexo is a small, independent website covering markets, stocks, crypto, forex, commodities and the use of AI in finance. Content is published under the collective byline Finbexo Newsroom. Nothing we publish is financial advice; see our disclaimer.
02 How we use AI
We use AI language models to help draft articles and guides, and AI image models to create illustrations. We say so openly: every article carries a short note explaining how it was produced. AI output can contain errors, so we treat it as a draft, not as a source.
- AI is never used as a source of facts, prices or forecasts. Figures must come from a market-data feed or a named primary source.
- Illustrations at the top of articles are generated images, not photographs of real events.
- We do not publish AI output that gives personalised investment recommendations.
03 News articles
Our news articles summarise and explain developments first reported elsewhere. Each article names the publication whose report it draws on and links to it (“Reporting informed by…”). Where an article includes a market snapshot, those prices come from our market-data feed at the timestamp shown.
Between June and October 2026 news articles were produced by an automated pipeline: a news headline and short summary were passed to an AI model, which drafted the article, and the result was published without individual editorial review. On 28 October 2026 we paused that automated publishing. New articles are reviewed by an editor before publication, and the note on each article tells you which process applied.
04 Guides and data pages
Our guides are longer explainers that are updated over time. They are drafted with AI assistance and checked against their sources before publication. Every number in a guide is either calculated from a market-data feed (with the data date shown next to it) or quoted from a cited official or primary source, such as a government statistics agency, a central bank, an exchange or a regulator. Each guide explains its method and its limits.
05 Sources and data
- Market data: prices for indices, currencies, commodities and rates come from Yahoo Finance; cryptocurrency prices come from Yahoo Finance and CoinGecko. Data can be delayed and is indicative only.
- Official sources: we prefer primary sources such as the U.S. Energy Information Administration, the SEC, the Federal Reserve, exchanges and company filings over secondary reports.
- News reports: when an article relies on another outlet’s reporting, we name and link that outlet.
06 Bylines
All Finbexo content is published under the collective byline “Finbexo Newsroom”. Earlier articles appeared under individual staff-style bylines. Because those names did not represent individual human reporters, we replaced them on 28 October 2026, and the old author pages now redirect to the newsroom page.
07 Archive review
In October 2026 we reviewed the automated archive. Short news items that drew no reader interest have been kept online but marked so that search engines do not index them. Articles that duplicated another story now point to the stronger version, and articles filed under the wrong section were moved and their old addresses redirected. We are reviewing the remaining archive and will update or remove articles that do not meet this policy.
08 Corrections
If you spot an error, email [email protected] with the article link and a short description. We review every report. Where we confirm a factual error we correct the article and add a dated correction note at the end. If an article cannot be corrected reliably, we take it down.
09 Advertising and independence
Finbexo is funded by advertising, which can include affiliate links to brokers, exchanges or payment services. If you sign up through one of these links, we may earn a commission. Advertisers do not choose or review what we cover, and ads are kept separate from article text.
